Yeah I was really astonished with this piece of work I won an nomination for the Marion Drysdale Award for my district of schools. It unfortunately didn't win, but how can you judge between digital art and pencil drawings and clay sculptures.
How is he desecrating the flag? It's an image of the flag, not an actual flag. Is any time the flag used on an image considered desecration? The image is not distasteful in any way. And even if it were a real flag, it's just a symbol.
that is great the confusion and disbelief of the war is encompassed here. Im surprised u didn't include the claim that 100,000 iraqis are thought dead since the beginning of the conflict. Anyways great work + fav
It's my flag too.
I like this piece. President Sparky and his freak show desecrate my flag by turning the US into an explicitly imperial power.
No exercise of free speech desecrates anything in a democracy. That flag is a symbol of the freedom to criticize. You are certainly free to disapprove, but it does seem to me your diaspproval makes the physical pieces of cloth more important than the ideal that it symbolizes. The Bible has a word for that: it's called Idolatry.
Devious Comments
It is in very poor taste and speaks poorly for your character to desecrate anyone's flag.
You can express your views without desecrating any flags.
